In May 2007, Mario Julen, Hermann & Liliane Biner and myself arrived in Kathmandou to discover the beauty of the Himalayas. Mario Julen who had conquered Mt. Everest the year before, kindly accepted to join in order to share a marvellous trekking experience to Gorak Shep with us. Luckily I had Lok Bahadur Tapa on my side; he carried my photo-equipment and efficiently assisted me during those days when taking pictures of these magnificent peaks.

Grateful for that encounter, I flew back to Nepal in October 2017, for the opening of a school, the Carene Foundation had co-financed. On that occasion, Lok and his team from Holidayhimalaya led our group in a highly professional way up to his native village of Nele. We will always treasure these unforgettable and special moments.

For several years we have been visiting Nepal regularly. With Lok's Holida Himalaya we have been able to make several wonderful trekking trips in Nepal and Tibet.
