Permit & Entry Fee

Restricted Area & Permit Fee

Some areas in Nepal are strictly controlled for tourist to protect natural beauty, culture and environment. Many treks suggested in maps might be located in restricted area in those areas and you must obtain special permit, which can be arranged, from  Mosaic Adventure. When planning your trekking in such area make sure you made the entire requirement. These areas are opened for tourist since October 1991. Trekkers are not allowed to trek alone these restricted area, you should be at least 2 people in the group.

A trekking permit is must to visit restricted areas mentioned below. The following restricted areas are open only for group trekkers. Moreover, a trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for such areas. The areas and required fees are as follows:

  1. To get trekking permit an application form with other relevant documents should be submitted through any registered trekking agency of Nepal.
  2. Trekking permit fee must be paid in US Dollar: Not with standing anything written in above.
